This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Contribute to designated projects as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure secure customer outcomes. Lead teams within your expertise area when necessary and assist in the development, estimation, and evaluation of proposals and submissions.
• Design, construct, and deploy secure cloud and hybrid solutions that comply with ACSC PROTECTED requirements, utilizing industry best practices and frameworks.
• Perform cybersecurity audits, gap analyses, and risk/vulnerability assessments across both current and future-state architectures.
• Offer expert advice on cloud/hybrid cybersecurity architecture, security policies, procedures, and the alignment of security requirements with frameworks.
• Design and implement cybersecurity solutions such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools.
• Assist in the formulation and execution of security policies and plans, ensuring the secure handling and storage of classified and sensitive information.
• Engage in the development of internal methodologies, collateral, and intellectual property. Support team capability enhancement through coaching, peer reviews, and professional development initiatives.
• Continuously enhance your own skills and investigate new capability areas to expand your professional expertise.
• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, encompassing infrastructure, network, endpoint, and cloud security.
• Experience in government, risk, and compliance is vital.
• Proven experience in implementing cloud and hybrid security solutions.
• Recent experience in drafting documentation to fulfill security operations and risk management compliance requirements, including operational SOPs, IRPs, SRMPs, SSPs, SoAs, and SRAs.
• Strong consulting and engagement skills with the capability to represent cybersecurity perspectives to various audiences.
• Demonstrated experience functioning as a cybersecurity professional within an Agile project team.
• Established experience in cloud-centric cybersecurity projects.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of security assessments and risk management.
• Recent experience in security design, architecture, and implementation for Microsoft cloud services.
• Experience in applying the ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM) to cloud or hybrid solutions.
• Skills in auditing and assessment.
• Familiarity with Australian cyber regulations and compliance standards (Essential Eight, SOCI, NIST, ISM).
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with experience integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle.
• Occasional travel to client sites may be necessary.
