Senior Cyber Defense Advisor – m/w/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• As a Cyber Defense Advisor, you will guide our clients throughout the entire lifecycle of our Managed Detection & Response Services.

• You will serve as the primary point of contact, coordinating collaboration between the client and internal departments while ensuring ongoing optimization and stable operation of the services.

• Main contact for our clients in the Managed Detection & Response (MDR) sector.

• Provide technical and organizational support throughout the entire contract duration.

• Regular communication with technical and procedural contacts from the client side.

• Ensure that client requests are addressed completely, systematically, and timely.

• Provide professional support in the presales environment.

• Attend client meetings as a subject matter expert.

• Present the Managed Detection & Response portfolio.

• Advise potential clients on selecting suitable services.

• Coordinate the onboarding of new clients.

• Plan and manage the technical and procedural onboarding of new clients.

• Align and coordinate all involved internal departments.

• Ensure a smooth, transparent, and comprehensible process for the client.

• Continuously provide technical advice and service evaluation.

• Conduct weekly expert meetings to assess ongoing processes and derive optimizations.

• Hold monthly service review meetings to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate service operations.

• Document results, recommendations, and improvement measures.

• Continuously develop services and processes.

• Identify optimization potentials in internal and external processes.

• Collaborate closely with analysts, team leads, and technical departments to implement improvement measures.

• Professionally assess client requirements and translate them into actionable internal measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in customer support for technical services, ideally in Managed Security Services, SOC, MDR, or comparable IT security services.

• Strong communication and presentation skills - you can explain complex technical matters understandably to various target groups.

• A solid foundation in all macro areas of IT (Networking, Operating Systems & IT Security Concepts) - you don't need to be a hands-on expert, but you should understand technical relationships and communicate with specialists on an equal footing.

• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

• Willingness to travel for client visits and trade fairs (we primarily work remotely).

• An analytical, structured, and independent way of thinking and working, with strong coordination and organizational skills.

• A high customer and service orientation, along with the ability to take responsibility for customer relationships.

• Entrepreneurial thinking and action with a focus on continuous service improvement.

• Knowledge in one or more of the following product segments (technical understanding is more important than hands-on expertise): SIEM (e.g., Elastic SIEM, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security), XDR (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Elastic Defend, Palo Alto Cortex, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike Falcon), NDR (e.g., Corelight, Vectra AI, Darktrace), SOAR (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Swimlane, Palo Alto XSOAR).
