Senior CSOC Analyst, Japanese, English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• This position within the Fastly Customer Security Operations Center (CSOC) is tasked with monitoring and analyzing customer activities, particularly focusing on security functions such as detecting account takeovers or Bot Attacks and managing WAF.

• Serve as a security expert to ensure the safety of customers, delivering exceptional responses to security incidents.

• Provide extensive application-security expertise on escalated cases from customers and automated systems.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and research to enhance our customer security products and operations to their fullest potential.

• Contribute to the processes and policies that facilitate our organization's scalability as we expand.

• Generate and review reports for customers regarding security services.

• Develop and oversee security content tailored for customer environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in a SOC environment.

• Familiarity with some or all of the following foundational technologies: SaaS/Cloud or hybrid cloud deployments; Apache/NGINX/IIS or other web server platforms, along with related application server technologies and frameworks.

• Proficiency in scripting with any of the following: Python, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#, or other common web languages.

• Strong background in information security with substantial knowledge and practical skills in application security.

• Experience in an IT or security technical support, operations, or research role.

• Competence in Unix/Linux or Windows system administration.

• Ability to work independently while also serving as a mentor in security knowledge to the broader team.

• Fluent spoken and written English is required, with the ability to adjust communication style to suit different audiences.

• Experience and capability in troubleshooting software products.
