This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accurately process and document all crop insurance premium payments, overpayments, refunds, and billing adjustments in a timely manner.
• Reconcile premium, liability, and indemnity activities across internal systems, AIP platforms, and RMA data to ensure financial precision.
• Review and confirm agent commission statements, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with agents and internal teams.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules for financial closing.
• Track and manage outstanding A/R and A/P items related to growers, agencies, and reinsurers, providing status updates to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in internal and external audits, including RMA compliance reviews, by collecting documentation and preparing necessary reports.
• Generate reports by extracting data from various systems (policy administration, accounting, RMA, and internal databases); consolidate and analyze results to aid decision-making.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies related to premium, commission, or settlement activities; suggest corrective measures.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper files to ensure audit preparedness and operational efficiency.
• Support monthly premium reconciliation processes to meet deadlines for financial reporting and RMA requirements.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, agent services, and finance teams to guarantee data integrity and consistent application of accounting practices.
• Engage in process enhancements, documentation updates, and cross-department projects to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the crop, insurance, or agricultural finance sectors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas), as well as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Capable of organizing, self-prioritizing, multitasking, and being a proactive self-starter in a fast-paced environment with demanding internal and external deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong attention to detail are essential.
