This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• This role involves overseeing, enhancing, and formulating Credit strategies, including underwriting and loan amounts for personal loans.
• Develop and implement test/control champion/challenger tests while monitoring outcomes to guide future strategies.
• Conduct scenario analyses, create financial impact assessments, and devise new strategy test cases.
• Execute ad-hoc analytics and generate reports and presentations.
• Collaborate across various functional areas to bolster overall growth, enhance products, and improve web funnel conversion rates across all channels.
• Work in partnership with Decision Science to define and build Credit models and tools.
• Maintain overall risk and return targets for investors, especially in a fluctuating economic landscape.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable analytical role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, or another quantitative major is required; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Background in the financial industry with a focus on credit risk is essential; experience in online lending, near-prime, or sub-prime is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language, SQL, and MS Excel is necessary.
• Ability to interpret data using analytics, research methods, and statistical approaches is required.
• Previous experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• Highly independent and self-driven, with the ability to formulate opinions supported by data.
• Extensive knowledge of modeling tools and techniques and their application in strategy development.
• Capacity to comprehend competitive pressures, economic trends, and their business implications.
• High energy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable engaging and collaborating with colleagues at all levels of management across various business units and third-party vendors.
• Proven technical leadership skills, including self-direction, coaching, and mentoring.
