This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Support senior management with specific project assignments by researching the necessary evaluations of credit and project risks linked to high-value loans for cutting-edge or commercially viable clean energy generation, manufacturing initiatives, and advanced technology vehicle and component manufacturing projects.
• Gather research materials and assess information to aid risk assessment activities, including financial statements, collateral, news reports, and additional relevant data.
• Analyze borrowers and guarantors involved in large-scale projects to identify potential indicators of credit deterioration.
• Engage in teams to address the technical, legal-economic, and financial feasibility components of a transaction, utilizing research to compile background information crucial for loan negotiations.
• Create business correspondence, analytical reports, and deliver presentations to clarify financial models.
• Serve as a credit and financial analyst within the credit and risk management teams.
• Assess credit and investment risks associated with loans, guarantees, and investment activities; identify, quantify, and mitigate risks of new transactions while making recommendations concerning deal structuring and pricing focused on financial intermediaries.
• Identify, develop, and review financial and credit risk management policies, ensuring that systems, procedures, and guidelines align with best practices.
• US Citizenship is required to obtain client-issued Public Trust.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
• Familiarity with project and corporate finance is essential for evaluating borrower viability.
• Proficiency in researching financial structures, such as corporate, asset-based, or limited resource project finance transactions, to make informed financial decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to conduct complex financial analyses and make sound judgments.
• Knowledge of techniques and processes required for effectively negotiating and underwriting borrowers and guarantors of large-scale projects.
• Understanding of the requirements of borrowers and lenders regarding loan terms and guarantees.
• Acquainted with credit-enhancing mechanisms, risk mitigation strategies, and collateral treatment concerning credit.
• Extensive knowledge of credit risk-related financial analysis, procedures, and systems within complex global financial services environments.
• Capacity to collaborate on a team managing the technical, legal-economic, and financial feasibility aspects of high-value loans for significant projects.
• Demonstrated experience in credit risk assessment functions across major industrial sectors, particularly with financial intermediaries and project lending.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a grasp of fundamental business writing principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
