Senior Credit Manager – Australian Mortgage, Lending Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Technical Decision Making: Serve as the primary authority for intricate self-employed cases, addressing "grey areas" and delivering conclusive quotes where standard policies may not provide clarity.

• Senior Leadership: Oversee a distinguished team, which includes a Senior Underwriter and a Credit Analyst. Offer technical guidance and final approval for their most challenging files.

• Credit Oversight: Supervise all credit submissions to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of accuracy and achieve "right first time" approval rates.

• Lender Relationship Management: Engage directly with BDMs and senior credit assessors at second-tier Australian lenders to overturn declines and negotiate terms.

• SLA Governance: Ensure the credit team adheres strictly to internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), upholding the firm's reputation for efficiency and dependability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Lender Experience (Mandatory): Significant experience (8+ years) within an Australian second-tier lender (e.g., Pepper, Liberty, La Trobe).

• Authority & DLA: Demonstrated experience possessing a high Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) and leading a credit assessment team.

• Self-Employed Mastery: Proficient in evaluating intricate financial structures, including company tax returns, trust distributions, and add-back scenarios.

• Strategic Thinking: Capacity to think outside the "box" to identify viable lending solutions for high-net-worth clients.

• NICE TO HAVE (not mandatory):

• Scenario Architect Skills: Previous experience in a "Credit Coach" or "Scenario Desk" role within a specialist lender, particularly managing complex commercial-to-residential transitions.

• Advanced Accounting Knowledge: A thorough understanding of corporate tax portals and the ability to reconcile complex inter-entity loan accounts.
