Senior Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the internal sales team, vendors, and customers to effectively manage risk.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of contracts, such as hardware, software, professional services, subcontractor, non-disclosure, and vendor agreements.

• Lead negotiations for contracts with sophisticated counterparties.

• Recommend and assist in the development of tools aimed at enhancing contractual processes and documentation.

• Train and oversee lawyers.

• Manage outside counsel as required and when necessary.

• Address and respond to disputes concerning contracts with opposing parties.

• Create and revise templates and processes as needed.

• Evaluate and reduce sources of risk, with appropriate escalation when necessary.

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications – Juris Doctor degree, active member in good standing of a state bar, with a minimum of 5 years of legal experience.

• Preferred Qualifications – Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred and should be emphasized in the resume: commercial contract negotiation, government contracts, data security, and litigation.

• Experience working within a contracts group, as in-house counsel, or in corporate law.

• Proven experience in managing individuals.

• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing a diverse range of commercial contracts, particularly technology-related agreements.

• Capability to manage a high volume of tasks and multiple projects, necessitating timely decision-making.

• Strong customer/client-focused mindset.

• Excellent analytical capabilities along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional business judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and a high level of self-motivation.

• Must maintain an active membership in good standing with a state Bar.
