Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor – Data Center Construction, Heavy Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Act as the main day-to-day client liaison for large-scale data center construction initiatives.

• Guarantee the provision of disciplined, value-oriented cost management services.

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the duration of the construction project.

• Deliver detailed estimates and cost planning, which includes creating and presenting cost plans.

• Review and collaborate with the design team and general contractor on cost estimates.

• Reconcile changes and confirm that contractor-supplied information is thorough and precise.

• Communicate with the general contractor and client stakeholders to collect project updates.

• Prepare written assessments of contractor submissions, including summaries for executive-level review.

• Oversee cost assessments and conduct valuations on extensive civil and infrastructure projects.

• Assist in post-contract cost management, including change management and governance procedures.

• Compile and sustain cost data and benchmarks.

• Identify, guide, and mentor team members to foster capability development and project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 6–7 years of pertinent experience in cost management within the construction sector.

• Experience in supporting complex, high-velocity construction programs.

• RICS accreditation or active pursuit of accreditation is preferred.

• Strong comprehension of construction methodologies, procurement strategies, and commercial management principles.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Candidates must reside physically in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; remote work is allowed only within the United States.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
