• Take ownership of Tilt's voice: Be the key advocate for our tone — enhancing our voice, maintaining high standards for quality, and ensuring all our written content is clear, relatable, and distinctly Tilt.
• Craft defining work: Produce brand copy that is clever without being forced, warm without being clichéd, and straightforward without being tedious. You discover the phrases that others overlook, making it seem effortless.
• From concept to campaign: Generate innovative ideas and know how to expand them — from the central creative concept to the headlines, scripts, and execution details that give a campaign its completeness and inevitability.
• Narrate the long story: Oversee long-form narrative projects — spanning touchpoints, campaign stories, and scripts — that foster trust, clarity, and emotional connections with our audience.
• Propel growth through language: Write direct response copy for ads, emails, and performance channels that converts without sounding overly promotional. Use plain language, everyday expressions, and achieve real results.
• Develop the system: Leverage your writing expertise to design and enhance AI-assisted copy workflows — including writing prompts, style guides, and frameworks that ensure on-brand consistency while producing high-quality work at scale.
• Collaborate within the creative organization: Work closely with designers on campaign ideation and brand development to ensure that writing and design are integrated seamlessly, rather than working in isolation.
• Influence creative practices: As a senior member of a growing team, you'll have significant impact on how we establish creative standards, review work, and elevate our benchmarks.
• Humanize financial language: Help individuals feel acknowledged, respected, and confident through clear, emotionally intelligent writing that fosters trust in critical moments.
• A unique voice: You have cultivated a distinctive creative perspective throughout your career. Your writing possesses a quality that is hard to define but unmistakably present — unique, vibrant, and never overstated.
• Conceptual thinker: You have a wealth of campaign ideas. You think strategically, generate robust creative platforms, and can expand a central concept across various channels and formats without losing its essence.
• Extensive brand experience: You have participated in brand identity or rebranding projects and understand how to encapsulate a company's spirit in language and maintain it consistently across all touchpoints.
• Proficient in long-form narratives: You can confidently write both a 12-word tagline and a 1,200-word brand story, knowing when each format is appropriate.
• Familiarity with performance copy: You comprehend how to write for direct response channels — understanding the rhythm, clarity requirements, and accountability for outcomes — without compromising your voice.
• Systems-oriented thinker: You recognize patterns in your craft. You can document the elements that make writing effective and create frameworks to assist others in improving their writing, including AI-driven tools.
• Strong collaborator: You excel in creative feedback loops, view critique as motivation, and are as committed to your team’s work as your own.
• Effective presenter: You can guide a group through creative rationale and evoke a sense of correctness in choices, not just understanding.
• Experience in agency and/or in-house settings: You understand how creative projects are executed and have navigated real-world timelines, stakeholders, and constraints without sacrificing quality.
