Senior Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Establish and enhance the controlling function, creating scalable reporting processes and financial controls from the outset.

• Work closely with Finance leadership to enhance the quality, precision, and consistency of financial reporting and analysis.

• Oversee monthly variance analysis, cash reconciliation, and open claims reports, identifying trends and delivering valuable insights into business performance.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning efforts.

• Drive enhancements to financial processes, including month-end close timelines and reporting standards.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to bolster communication and ensure alignment between accounting and forecasting activities.

• Contribute to establishing strong financial governance as the business continues to grow.

• Create insightful management reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

• Continuously seek opportunities to automate, simplify, and enhance finance processes and reporting capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or a related finance role.

• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of German GAAP (HGB).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly with exceptional proficiency in Excel.

• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for translating financial data into valuable business insights.

• A strategic mindset paired with a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.

• Capability to perform effectively under pressure while juggling multiple priorities.

• Confidence in creating new processes, reports, and frameworks from scratch in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for cross-functional collaboration.
