This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of Instrumentl’s content ecosystem as we transition from a grant discovery tool to a comprehensive grant operating system.
• Uphold our editorial vision and brand voice across all communication channels.
• Propel full-funnel growth and define how nonprofits discover and rely on Instrumentl as an indispensable platform.
• Collaborate with product growth teams, agencies, and freelancers to enhance SEO and GEO traffic on a quarterly basis.
• Direct keyword and topic strategies, set high standards for editorial quality, and cultivate expertise in grants and nonprofit fundraising.
• Stay updated on the impact of generative search on content distribution and provide insights on testing strategies.
• Develop and maintain Instrumentl’s editorial vision and brand voice through blogs, newsletters, social media, and events.
• Create and manage a content calendar ensuring that every asset delivers value, transforming a single webinar or report into various downstream pieces across multiple channels.
• Engage in original research, product copy, and key editorial projects where sound judgment is crucial.
• Collaborate with product marketing and growth teams on advertising campaigns, gated content, landing pages, sales materials, and nurturing sequences.
• Establish AI workflows that enable the team to quickly draft and quality-check on-brand content without compromising our voice.
• Oversee a team of freelancers and agencies to execute projects at scale.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in content marketing or content strategy.
• Proven experience managing both demand-generation content (SEO, gated assets) and editorial/brand-building content (thought leadership, original research).
• Proficiency in SEO and GEO: keyword strategy, on-page implementation, and the fundamentals of technical SEO.
• Exceptional writing skills with strong editorial judgment: able to identify poor quality AI content, superficial filler, or awkward phrasing at a glance.
• Capability to quickly gain subject matter expertise in complex areas through research and interviews with subject matter experts.
• Experience working with nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven organizations.
• Familiarity with grants, fundraising, or nonprofit operations.
• Experience in managing relationships with freelancers and agencies.
