This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Conduct interviews with scholarship families and alumni to craft engaging narratives for CSF publications, events, media outreach, and marketing materials.
• Produce blog entries, social media content, and various other communication materials.
• Assist in creating digital content for social media, email campaigns, videos, and other multimedia communications.
• Reach out to parents and alumni through surveys and follow-up calls.
• Aid in alumni engagement efforts, which include survey management and data handling.
• Help organize and oversee digital assets such as testimonials, photographs, videos, and interview materials.
• Manage the digital cataloging of family and alumni testimonials, interviews, quotes, images, videos, and other communication resources.
• Generate monthly social media analytics reports and suggest strategies to enhance engagement and reach.
• Monitor media coverage and maintain media contact lists.
• Conduct research on education-related statistics, trends, and policy information as required.
• Assist in the planning and organization of National School Choice Week, alumni events, and partner events.
• Support daily communication operations and special projects across the organization, including occasional mailings, event assistance, and administrative tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• 1-3+ years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or similar fields (including internships).
• A strong interest in and commitment to CSF's mission of broadening educational opportunities for children.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and research capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in conducting phone interviews and outreach.
• Experience utilizing content creation and design tools such as Canva and Adobe InDesign, along with familiarity in producing content for digital and social media platforms.
• Knowledge of AI-powered productivity and content creation tools like ChatGPT, Canva AI, or similar applications.
• Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• A self-starter who is collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5%).
