Senior Consulting Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as a collaborative team member on customer projects, with a focus on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation.

• Offer case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects, aiding in implementation, onboarding, production launches, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

• Provide assistance with architectural, technical, and migration tasks, including hands-on activities.

• Serve as part of the Support Team, addressing L1 to L3 cases and communications when not actively engaged in customer projects.

• Collaborate closely with ClickHouse Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to influence the product roadmap and account strategies.

• Create and contribute to a diverse array of content, such as Public and Internal Documentation, Knowledge Base articles, ClickHouse Learning, Reference Architecture, blogs, and benchmark results.

• Assist in the hiring and mentoring of new team members as we expand and scale.

• Be available for scheduling and on-call responsibilities to provide exceptional 24x7 support in a global, distributed context, including up to 35% estimated regional travel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Account Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles.

• More than 5 years of relevant industry experience in implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems (DBMS).

• Technical expertise and knowledge in relevant areas such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, System or Network Administration, and big data.

• Proven experience leading and delivering large-scope technical projects in partnership with multiple seasoned engineers.

• Proficiency with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offerings (e.g., EC2).
