This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead or assist in discovery and requirements analysis to convert business objectives into testable acceptance criteria, quality engineering (QE) scope, and a practical testing strategy.
• Execute the comprehensive QE strategy and quality framework for a workstream, addressing both functional and non-functional needs (e.g., reliability, performance, security, data quality); contribute to governance, standards, documentation, and escalate any gaps or risks with suggested enhancements.
• Design, develop, and uphold scalable automation solutions (UI/API/data as relevant), choosing suitable tools and frameworks while ensuring their maintainability and reusability.
• Incorporate testing into CI/CD and delivery workflows to enhance release confidence (e.g., automation in pipelines, quality gates, environments, and test data strategy).
• Conduct and direct testing (with an emphasis on automation and targeted manual testing when necessary), ensuring coverage, traceability, and effective defect management and triage.
• Oversee workstream-level QE planning and execution management, including estimation, sequencing, dependencies, and daily coordination with product/engineering teams to achieve delivery milestones.
• Establish and manage a workstream quality cadence (dashboards/status, defect triage, root-cause themes), ensuring that risks and release readiness are visible early and that decisions are data-driven.
• Relay quality status, risks, and trade-offs to clients and internal stakeholders; suggest adjustments to scope, plan, or approach based on data and outcomes.
• Mentor and guide engineers/consultants through pairing, feedback, and daily technical leadership; exemplify strong engineering practices and assist the team in adopting consistent QE methodologies.
• Contribute to the development of QE practices by sharing patterns, enhancing accelerators, and fostering a quality-first culture across engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent practical experience).
• 6+ years of experience in quality engineering/test automation, with practical knowledge of QE processes, programming languages, and test management tools.
• Experience in consulting and client-facing roles, including collaboration with stakeholders and aligning quality initiatives with business outcomes.
• Strong background in quality methodologies, test planning, automation, and quality engineering practices (including traceability, defect management, and reporting).
• Practical experience in designing and developing automation solutions using tools like Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Proficient programming skills in C#, Java, Python, or related languages, with the capability to write maintainable test code.
• Experience in performance and load testing and familiarity with related tools (e.g., JMeter, Azure Load test, Locust, k6, Gatling).
• Experience in data quality and data platform testing (ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics validation); knowledge of Databricks / Microsoft Fabric is preferred.
• Experience in AI/ML/LLM testing (prompt/output evaluation, regression approaches, model behavior risks/metrics) and/or AI-assisted QE techniques (test generation, flaky test triage, test data generation).
• Proven ability to design and deliver maintainable, scalable testing solutions that align with business objectives.
• Experience with API testing and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Agile delivery and defect/requirements processes.
• Demonstrated capability to apply emerging tools and techniques (including AI-assisted QE where relevant) to enhance speed, reliability, and insight in testing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey quality risks, status, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of mentoring others through technical guidance, actionable feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Certification in relevant technologies is a plus.
• Flexible work location with a virtual-first approach to work!
• 401(K) with a match of up to 50% of your 6% contributions of eligible pay.
• Generous PTO policy offering a minimum of 15 days, in addition to 9 paid company holidays and 2 floating personal days.
