This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Oversee, evaluate, and consolidate developments in federal and state health policies.
• Generate insights informed by policy to aid in launch planning, pricing, contracting, and access strategies.
• Carry out designated project responsibilities.
• Prepare documentation for project meetings.
• Conduct analyses of both primary and secondary research initiatives.
• Develop and apply analytical tools to facilitate decision-making processes.
• Create materials that effectively communicate the outcomes of analyses.
• Identify critical insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to guide corporate and commercial strategies.
• Take ownership of fulfilling project obligations.
• Regularly interact with senior-level clients.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, with a solid understanding of US health policy as it pertains to life sciences commercialization.
• In-depth understanding of US drug pricing and reimbursement policies, including the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Medicare Part B and D coverage and payment, 340B, Medicaid, government pricing, and formulary dynamics.
• Awareness of the changing payer and PBM landscape as well as provider economics.
• Proven ability to blend business and industry knowledge to devise innovative solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management abilities.
• Proven experience working within a team environment.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• An advanced degree (PhD, MD, MBA, or MS) with 2+ years of consulting experience or an undergraduate degree with 3+ years of consulting experience or 3+ years of experience in the biopharma industry or a relevant trade association.
• Previous experience in a US health policy setting relevant to the life sciences sector.
