This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• As the payroll subject matter expert, guide clients through the implementation of their Workday system and the entire project development lifecycle.
• As a member of a deployment team, engage in gathering and comprehending customer payroll business requirements, designing and configuring the Workday Payroll solution, showcasing configurations through prototype system development, leading and managing parallel testing sessions, and ensuring knowledge transfer to clients.
• Identify and assess business needs and requirements, effectively translating technical specifications into terminology suitable for business contexts.
• Develop and create functional designs and specifications while analyzing gaps and successfully providing solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to review, understand, and transition legacy payroll history into Workday.
• Support the integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions.
• Advise clients on a range of data integrity issues and best business practices while utilizing Workday.
• Ensure customers comprehend and leverage the best practices offered by Alchemy and Workday.
• Continuously seek to innovate and propose new methods and tools for efficient and effective Workday deployment.
• Assist in ensuring customers remain referenceable once they are in production.
• Collaborate with clients to identify and resolve any issues that may affect the project scope or timeline.
• Partner with project managers to ensure project plans and allocated budgets are aligned.
• Mentor new consultants and exemplify professional conduct.
• Maintain certifications and qualifications related to Workday.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Workday Payroll functional lead.
• Over 4 years of payroll processing or payroll implementation experience with Workday, Ellucian, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar applications.
• Capability to apply rigorous logic to identify hidden problems and develop effective solutions.
• Proficiency in managing timelines and objectives efficiently.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, catering to both technical and functional end-users.
• A valid Workday Payroll certification.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.
