This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Contributes to PBGH’s vision of promoting high-value, affordable, and equitable health care by providing independent, purchaser-centric advisory services to employers and other health care buyers.
• Delivers impartial analysis, market insights, and evidence-driven guidance to aid employers in their fiduciary decision-making throughout the health and welfare benefits lifecycle.
• Manages multiple client projects independently and oversees designated workstreams from inception to completion.
• Produces client-ready analyses, insights, and deliverables related to health and welfare strategies, encompassing medical, pharmacy, wellbeing, and point solutions.
• Works collaboratively with internal project teams to ensure the successful execution of assigned initiatives.
• Evaluates employer demographics, claims, utilization, costs, quality, and performance data, including self-funded medical and pharmacy claims.
• Develops resources and tools that enhance the knowledge base for ongoing intellectual capital development.
• Oversees the RFP/RFI process, which includes drafting questionnaires, engaging with vendors, and assessing proposals and responses.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 8+ years of experience in a consulting or comparable setting, advising large/jumbo employers on health and welfare benefits.
• Proven track record of addressing complex health and benefits challenges for Fortune 500 companies.
• Comprehensive understanding of the health benefits ecosystem, including carriers, PBMs, point solutions, and consulting/brokerage models.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing employer medical and pharmacy claims data and converting findings into client-ready insights.
• Strong technical proficiency across health and welfare subjects, including financial and actuarial concepts, plan design, vendor assessment, compliance (e.g., ERISA, CAA), pharmacy and PBM strategies, mental health, wellbeing, and emerging solutions.
• Established ability to manage multiple workstreams and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a background in creating polished PowerPoint presentations and executive summaries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–15%.
