Senior Consultant, Cloud & DevOps Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Analyzing customer requirements and deriving viable technical solutions.

• Designing, building, and enhancing modern cloud and platform architectures with a focus on Kubernetes in a private cloud context, as well as with selected public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT, IONOS).

• Architecting and designing scalable, secure, and maintainable system landscapes.

• Establishing and operating container platforms based on Kubernetes.

• Creating and advancing automation processes, such as CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, and release cycles, using tools like GitLab, ArgoCD, or Azure DevOps.

• Conceptualizing and implementing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

• Analyzing and evaluating existing architectures and presenting actionable recommendations.

• Coaching team members on cloud and platform topics.

• Contributing to internal ARES projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree or vocational training in IT.

• Several years of experience in cloud-native technologies and platform engineering, particularly in private cloud or hybrid environments.

• Excellent knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem.

• Extensive experience in designing cloud and platform architectures (IaaS/PaaS).

• Solid understanding of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT).

• Relevant experience in the DevOps environment.

• IT security is a regular part of your daily routine.

• You are independent, customer-oriented, communicative, and enjoy working in a team.

• You are motivated to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and take on responsibilities.

• Willingness to travel within Germany (on average, max. 3 days/month).

• Very good German and English language skills.

• Willingness to undergo a security clearance (SÜ1 or SÜ2) according to the SÜG.
