Senior Consultant – Advisory Purple

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• This position is a part of SRA's Advisory Services team, concentrating on Purple Teams. The Senior Consultant will lead and implement advanced purple team testing initiatives for Fortune 1000 companies.

• Expertise in utilizing the VECTR platform for managing and reporting on these exercises is required.

• Lead Purple Team Exercises: Plan, execute, and oversee purple team exercises to assess the effectiveness of security controls and enhance the organization's defensive capabilities.

• VECTR Operations: Utilize the VECTR platform to document, monitor, and report on purple team activities, ensuring it is updated and maintained to reflect the latest testing methodologies and results.

• Test Preparation and Execution: Supervise the preparation, execution, and reporting of purple test cases, ensuring all activities are documented and outcomes communicated effectively.

• Metrics and Reporting: Develop and monitor metrics for evaluating test outcomes, including defense success metrics and trends over time to illustrate improvements. Prepare actionable observations and recommendations tailored to client environments.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal SRA teams, including Red and Blue, to integrate findings from purple team exercises into ongoing improvement processes for each client.

• Client Interaction: Engage with clients to comprehend their security needs, offer insights into their tools, and provide exceptional customer service. Communicate findings and strategies effectively to client stakeholders, including technical staff, executive leadership, and legal counsel.

• Training and Development: Offer training and guidance to team members on purple team methodologies and the use of VECTR.

• Research and Innovation: Leverage knowledge gained during purple team exercises to conduct research initiatives aimed at enhancing our services and contributing to the community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Punctuality and timely attendance to the needs of external clients and internal stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with an emphasis on technical assessments, defensive toolsets, tabletop exercises, and incident response.

• Strong grasp of red and purple team methodologies and best practices.

• Exceptional communication and reporting skills, with the capacity to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
