This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Develop the business justification and strategic plan for compliance investments, clearly communicating ROI, certification sequences, and market opportunities to leadership.
• Conduct gap assessments and evaluate compliance readiness across relevant frameworks, generating maturity baselines and prioritized remediation plans.
• Choose, onboard, and supervise third-party assessors and compliance consultants; ensure partners adhere to timelines and promptly escalate risks.
• Foster audit preparedness by coordinating evidence gathering, ongoing monitoring, and audit documentation management in collaboration with Engineering and Security.
• Assist in customer security evaluations, RFP submissions, and due diligence discussions as the authoritative internal representative of Harvey's compliance status.
• Build and manage a small team: recruit, provide direction, develop team members, and scale program operations as Harvey's presence expands.
• Over 10 years of experience in information security or compliance, including 5+ years in leading compliance programs for commercial SaaS or PaaS.
• Extensive knowledge of the compliance lifecycle — including scoping, gap analysis, control documentation, assessment coordination, and continuous monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally at the senior level; capable of driving compliance results across Engineering, Product, Legal, and Sales without hindering business progress.
• Proven experience in selecting and managing third-party assessors and compliance advisory firms.
• Background in building and leading small teams in dynamic environments, with a focus on hiring outstanding talent and creating clarity amidst uncertainty.
• 1–2+ years of experience utilizing AI tools to enhance program efficiency (evidence automation, gap analysis, continuous monitoring).
