This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, document, and uphold export control, sanctions, and customs compliance procedures, guidelines, and operational instructions.
• Execute and oversee restricted party screenings, embargo evaluations, and classification of goods, software, and technologies using SAP GTS or manual methods.
• Act as the primary trade compliance consultant, offering policy direction and practical assistance for daily import/export operations.
• Serve as the main trade compliance liaison, facilitating communication channels, enhancing local capabilities, and aligning global trade initiatives within the organization.
• Ensure adherence to global and local trade regulations by tracking regulatory changes and relaying updates to stakeholders.
• Provide transactional support for import/export activities, including issue resolution, screening outcomes, and system block releases.
• Design and manage trade compliance training and awareness initiatives for employees, encompassing role-specific education.
• Supervise trade compliance processes within business operations, including master data management, supplier qualification, and documentation/recordkeeping obligations.
• Conduct trade compliance evaluations, self-audits, and transactional assessments; identify deficiencies and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain compliance with export authorizations and reporting obligations, ensuring precise classification and adherence to regulatory stipulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or international business.
• Over 10 years of extensive experience in international trade and customs, facilitating daily import/export transactions, including documentation and compliance processes.
• Proficient understanding of international trade regulations, including export controls, sanctions, and customs laws.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the capability to guide stakeholders on compliance issues.
• The candidate must already possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States.
