Senior Compliance Consultant, Compliance Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversees and supports the compliance services team responsible for producing IRS-mandated compliance tests, employer contribution calculations, and DOL tax filings for our clients on a daily basis.

• Delivers consultative solutions to clients while ensuring adherence to IRS and ERISA regulations.

• Offers expertise and guidance to enhance the quality control of client-requested employer contribution calculations, including but not limited to profit sharing, employer match, and other nonelective contributions.

• Provides specialized knowledge in Safe Harbor and non-Safe Harbor 401(k) plan design to offer consultative services to our clients.

• Engages in prospective client sales meetings to showcase Ascensus' commitment to compliance and the resources we provide to support our clients.

• Leads global client-facing initiatives and project teams aimed at improving our product offerings.

• Oversees these projects and initiatives by reporting directly to Senior Leadership teams and product owners across Ascensus.

• Develops and leads a team of Compliance Consultants to deliver consultative solutions that enhance client retention and satisfaction.

• Responsible for safeguarding, securing, and appropriately managing all confidential data maintained by Ascensus to prevent unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could jeopardize Ascensus or our clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the retirement services sector, particularly in plan design and its implications for retirement plan compliance.

• Comprehensive understanding of IRS, ERISA, and DOL regulations, including compliance testing related to sections 401(a)(4), 402(g), 414(s), 410(b), 415, and 416.

• Proficient in profit sharing contributions, specifically utilizing the new comparability formula.

• Capable of making well-informed business decisions while effectively balancing client needs with organizational priorities.

• Possesses advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to work additional hours as required to meet business demands.

• Consistently showcases a high level of proactive client focus.

• Regularly demonstrates the application of consultative solutions to meet client needs.

• Capable of working independently with a high level of autonomy.

• Able to collaborate within a team framework to achieve the shared objective of providing exceptional customer service.

• Excellent coaching and mentoring capabilities.

• Strong presentation skills, along with professional oral and written communication, client service skills, and proficiency in time management.

• Preferred certification or progress towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) in an industry-related studies program.
