Senior Compliance Associate, Sanctions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the preparation, quality assurance, and timely submission of all outbound sanctions regulatory reports, including OFAC reports.

• Maintain a filing schedule and proactively raise any risks of late or incomplete submissions to the sanctions leadership team.

• Identify and drive opportunities for automation throughout the sanctions reporting process.

• Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to define and test connectors between sanctions tools and downstream reporting systems.

• Partner with Regional Compliance Officers in non-US jurisdictions to gather and integrate local regulatory feedback.

• Act as a trained backup for sanctions investigations and account closure decisions.

• Document current processes and suggest enhancements that minimize manual effort while ensuring regulatory accuracy and accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in sanctions compliance, regulatory reporting, or a related financial crimes compliance role.

• Proficient understanding of OFAC regulations, SDN list screening, and obligations related to sanctions regulatory reporting.

• Practical experience with automation and AI tools, such as Claude or ChatGPT.

• Experience working with APIs, workflow connectors, and case management systems like Hummingbird, Zendesk, or equivalent.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with proven experience in quality control or review processes involving regulatory deliverables.

• Ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and apply them to real-world filing and reporting situations.

• Strong written communication skills, with experience in drafting or reviewing compliance reports.

• Capable of managing multiple concurrent filing deadlines with a high level of accuracy.

• High integrity, discretion, and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
