This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +1 more state.
• Support the maintenance of Centene Corporation’s Compliance Program.
• Offer regulatory interpretations and execute compliance reporting.
• Lead and manage special projects.
• Develop and implement strategies for compliance auditing and monitoring.
• Address external requests for information needed for regulatory filings.
• Oversee compliance reporting tasks and respond to inquiries from state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Manage projects or implementations related to ethics and compliance.
• Review and summarize regulatory requirements to create policy and/or position statements.
• Assist in the management of the annual code of conduct attestation and remediation process.
• Communicate state and federal requirements to both internal and external clients.
• Provide guidance for development and assist with compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Aid in identifying, analyzing, and resolving compliance-related issues.
• Maintain and review regulatory documentation.
• Assist in the creation and delivery of compliance training programs.
• Conduct periodic compliance audits, risk assessments, and ongoing compliance monitoring activities.
• Support health plans in managing relationships with regulatory agencies and addressing policy issues.
• Assist management with interim responsibilities of the health plan compliance officer.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate the implementation of Compliance Committee policies.
• Act as a company-wide resource and liaison regarding policies, contract issues and provisions, communications, workflow, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related legal field or equivalent experience.
• A Master’s or Juris Doctorate degree is preferred and may be considered in lieu of experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in compliance privacy and/or regulatory affairs.
• Experience in project management is essential.
• Familiarity with laws and/or regulations in the compliance area, particularly HIPAA and state regulations.
• Preference for candidates who can work remotely from Missouri or Pennsylvania; qualified applicants from other areas within the Continental United States may also be considered.
