This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Develop and implement strategic communication plans for customers and partners that align with the organization's goals and communication strategies.
• Create, review, and distribute written communications such as press releases, product announcements, stakeholder emails, FAQs, and materials for customer and partner engagement.
• Act as a liaison to enhance the customer and partner experience, identify communication gaps, and address intricate communication issues in collaboration with internal teams.
• Collaborate with the team to disseminate messages to customers and partners through key outreach channels, contributing to integrated communication campaigns across email, web, social media, and partner networks.
• Convert product updates, health policy information, and organizational priorities into clear messages tailored to specific audiences.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and represent C4HCO in partner communication initiatives to support unified messaging and engagement.
• Participate in rapid-response communication and issue management efforts, ensuring messages are timely and accurate.
• Assist with the strategy, planning, and execution of Open Enrollment communication, managing high-volume, time-sensitive tasks while coordinating messaging.
• Ensure consistency between customer-facing communications and internal messages.
• Identify opportunities to enhance communication processes and improve cross-functional collaboration.
• Support the Senior Communications Manager in developing and maintaining a disciplined, insight-driven communication function aligned with C4HCO's priorities.
• Establish and refine engagement metrics and gather stakeholder feedback; provide insights and recommendations to enhance communication strategies for better reach, clarity, and impact.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support departmental and organizational objectives.
• Must be a resident of Colorado.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, strategic customer communications, or a related area.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities across various formats, including newsletters, emails, web content, customer notifications, and internal communications.
• Capability to translate complex information (policy, technical, regulatory) into clear, precise, customer-friendly language.
• Proficient at developing strategic messaging and executing communication plans that enhance engagement and clarity.
• Experience utilizing engagement data and insights to assess performance and adapt communication strategies accordingly.
• Competent in managing multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritizing intake, tracking timelines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities, particularly during high-volume periods like Open Enrollment.
• Experience in collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders (marketing, policy, operations, legal) to ensure accurate and aligned messaging.
• Familiarity with health insurance, the Affordable Care Act, state-based health insurance marketplaces, or the healthcare sector is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish are strongly preferred but not required.
• Proficient in using: Wordpress (and its plugins), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or similar email marketing platforms, customer relationship management systems, marketing database automation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
