This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Contribute to the design and execution of AI-driven communication experiences that deliver significant value to both clinics and patients, while maintaining a balance between speed, experimentation, and careful implementation.
• Act as a player-coach by directly engaging in technical execution and ensuring that team members remain aligned, supported, and focused on the most impactful tasks.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Jane AI, and Engineering teams to transform innovative ideas into tangible customer experiences, fostering open communication and rapid iteration as insights are gained.
• Establish strong feedback mechanisms with customers by engaging in pilot programs, assessing product performance in real-world contexts, and leveraging these insights for continuous enhancement of the experience.
• Cultivate a team atmosphere that is curious, flexible, and positive, encouraging individuals to embrace new technologies, explore advancing AI capabilities, and collaboratively tackle challenging problems.
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams as a competent manager, ready to make an impact from day one.
• Strong leadership skills in managing people, including hiring, mentoring, performance evaluation, and supporting the professional development of senior and staff-level engineers.
• Experience in developing and launching customer-facing software products, preferably in dynamic or rapidly growing settings where adaptability and ownership were crucial.
• Solid technical skills with the capability to participate in product development, assess technical decisions, and collaborate effectively with engineers, as this role is anticipated to be hands-on.
• Background in working with AI-driven products or features based on foundational models in production, including applications related to conversational AI, real-time interactions, automation, or intelligent workflows.
• Proven ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and effective communication, whether in a formal managerial role, as a team lead, or as a senior technical contributor coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguous, zero-to-one environments where priorities shift rapidly, and teams engage in experimentation, learning, and iteration towards achieving product-market fit.
