Senior Communications Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist the internal communications team in gathering and disseminating content that informs and engages team members through various channels – digital, email, TV screens, in-store, video, and presentations.

• Collect and distribute e-newsletters and other summaries to large groups of employees at Best Buy Canada.

• Oversee and implement both ad hoc and regular communications that recognize and showcase individuals and teams throughout the organization (corporate, distribution centres, and stores).

• Monitor email inboxes, and manage content calendars, weekly reports, and corporate and event trackers.

• Assist in the organization and execution of online, hybrid, and in-person events and meetings, including town hall meetings and other corporate functions.

• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of communication channels and generate regular performance reports to guide the internal communications strategy.

• Manage and update content on the intranet portal and other communication platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of communications experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• At least 3 years of business/operations experience collaborating with various stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.

• Retail experience is a significant advantage.

• Experience working within a large organization that has a substantial number of frontline team members is a plus.

• A BA in Communications, Journalism, or English; fluency in spoken and written French; and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, video editing, content management systems, and AI tools and technology are all beneficial.
