Senior Commercial Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough title examinations and analyze the chain of title for a diverse array of commercial title matters and issues.

• Evaluate documents such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books to ascertain ownership, legal constraints, and to confirm the legal description of property as well as the completeness of records.

• Address and resolve most issues, including missing information, incomplete, inaccurate, or conflicting data found in the title documentation.

• Review title commitments for precision and implement necessary amendments.

• May provide underwriting interpretations within set guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in commercial title examination, with prior MI experience essential.

• Exceptional organizational abilities with a knack for prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely follow-ups.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for interactions with both internal and external clients.

• A natural curiosity, with an enthusiasm for researching transaction histories, as well as analyzing and evaluating records.

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
