
Senior Combustion Engineer – Fired Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Diagnose various types of fired equipment, such as furnaces, heaters, boilers, flares, incinerators, and related systems.
• Evaluate mechanical integrity, operational effectiveness, and the remaining lifespan of equipment.
• Identify failures and malfunctions while developing engineered solutions.
• Suggest maintenance scopes, assess completed work, and evaluate strategies for spare parts.
• Carry out preliminary surveys of heaters and furnaces, generating reports prior to turnaround.
• Assist in commissioning activities, including equipment receipt checks, installation assessments, and startup support.
• Collaborate with Zeeco subject matter experts to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
• Create scopes of inquiry and integrate applications and project teams as required.
• Lead customer training and educational sessions.
• Visit current and prospective clients to ensure Zeeco is included on Approved Manufacturer Lists (AMLs) for all product lines.
• Discover new business opportunities and generate inquiries.
• Cultivate trust with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Perform site surveys, troubleshoot equipment issues, and offer technical assistance.
• Collect market intelligence, support quote clarifications, and aid in securing orders.
• Work in collaboration with Zeeco sales, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and other internal teams.
• Assist with commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting tasks at customer facilities.
• Enhance the performance of Zeeco representatives/agents or identify potential new partners.
• Deliver technical presentations and training sessions to customer groups.
• Provide constructive feedback to product teams for ongoing improvements.
• Monitor customer turnaround schedules and promote Zeeco products and services accordingly.
• Operate in full compliance with Zeeco's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality systems.
• Technical or engineering qualification is mandatory.
• Significant experience in the Oil & Gas sector is essential.
• Proven expertise with combustion-fired equipment is crucial.
• A background in mechanical or process engineering is preferred; commissioning or field experience is highly regarded.
• Strong skills in relationship building and confidence in engaging with customers.
• Adaptable, diligent, and a collaborative team player.
• Proactive self-starter capable of working independently and under pressure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and lateral thinking abilities.
• Willingness to go above and beyond for customers.
• Ability to travel internationally, including to remote or challenging locations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong presentation skills, including comfort in addressing large audiences.
