Senior Combustion Engineer – Fired Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Diagnose various types of fired equipment, such as furnaces, heaters, boilers, flares, incinerators, and associated systems.

• Evaluate mechanical integrity, operational suitability, and the remaining lifespan of equipment.

• Identify failures and malfunctions, and create engineered solutions.

• Suggest maintenance scopes, review completed tasks, and assess spare parts strategies.

• Conduct initial surveys of heaters and furnaces, and produce pre-turnaround reports.

• Assist with commissioning activities, which include checking equipment receipts, reviewing installations, and providing startup support.

• Collaborate with Zeeco subject matter experts to provide comprehensive customer solutions.

• Develop scopes of inquiry and integrate applications and project teams as necessary.

• Facilitate training and educational sessions for customers.

• Visit both existing and prospective clients to ensure Zeeco is included on approved manufacturer lists for all product lines.

• Identify new business prospects and generate inquiries.

• Cultivate trust with key decision-makers and influencers.

• Conduct site surveys, troubleshoot equipment issues, and offer technical support.

• Collect market intelligence, assist with quote clarifications, and aid in securing orders.

• Collaborate with Zeeco's sales, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and other internal teams.

• Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting efforts at customer facilities.

• Enhance the performance of Zeeco representatives/agents or identify new partners.

• Deliver technical presentations and training to customer groups.

• Provide feedback to product groups for ongoing improvement.

• Monitor customer turnaround schedules and promote Zeeco products and services accordingly.

• Operate in full compliance with Zeeco's HSE and Quality systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A technical or engineering qualification is required.

• Significant experience in the Oil & Gas industry is essential.

• Proven experience with combustion-fired equipment is a must.

• A background in mechanical or process engineering is preferred; commissioning or field experience is highly regarded.

• Strong relationship-building skills and confidence in customer interactions are essential.

• Must be flexible, hardworking, and a collaborative team player.

• Proactive self-starter capable of working independently and under pressure.

• Strong troubleshooting and lateral problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Willingness to “go the extra mile” for customers is expected.

• Ability to travel internationally, including to remote or challenging locations, is required.

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential.

• Strong presentation abilities, including comfort presenting to large audiences, are necessary.
