This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• The COBOL Developer will be responsible for the development and integration of services within a legacy Mainframe environment.
• Manage and supervise batch networks using Control‑M (Mainframe), ensuring adherence to SLAs.
• Quickly address any abends/failures in the network through analysis, correction, and reprocessing/restarting.
• Conduct prompt program investigations to determine root causes and execution parameters.
• Implement modifications in JCLs and COBOL/DB2 programs, including steps, DDs, parameters, datasets, conditionals, and RCs.
• Adjust and validate SYSINs (cards/execution parameterization).
• Modify and analyze COBOL programs/JCLs following the change management process when necessary.
• Extensive experience with Control‑M on Mainframe, including dependencies, rerun/restart, and troubleshooting.
• Strong proficiency in JCL and SYSIN.
• Experience in failure analysis and familiarity with TSO/ISPF environments.
• Practical knowledge of batch processes, including RC/steps and datasets (e.g., GDG/VSAM depending on client context).
• Willingness to work afternoon or night shifts as well as weekends (shift rotation required).
• Additional skills: Maintenance and analysis in COBOL/DB2.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases.
• Knowledge of utilities such as SORT and IDCAMS.
• Experience with support tools.
• Familiarity with change management tools like ChangeMan.
• Significant experience in online environments.
• Proficiency in CICS and COBOL/DB2.
• Availability to work weekends (shift rotation required).
• Completion or progress towards an academic degree in IT-related fields.
