Senior CMDB Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage the ServiceNow CMDB to guarantee it serves as a reliable system of record that supports ITSM and ITOM.

• Enhance data quality, manage the CI lifecycle, and facilitate integration with discovery and automation functionalities.

• Enable precise impact analysis and informed operational decision-making.

• Establish and regulate the CMDB strategy, standards, and processes (ITIL 4, CSDM).

• Oversee the CI lifecycle and ensure accurate relationships among infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.

• Promote data quality through audits, reconciliation, and KPI tracking.

• Connect the CMDB with Discovery, Service Mapping, and external data sources.

• Assist with Incident, Problem, and Change management by providing impact analysis and root cause insights.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote adoption, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

• Identify and implement opportunities for automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB.

• In-depth knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change).

• Experience in CI lifecycle management and relationship modeling.

• Familiarity with discovery processes and data reconciliation.

• Background in data governance and quality management.
