Senior CloudOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable infrastructure utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Create and oversee CI/CD pipelines to facilitate swift and dependable deployments.

• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or similar technologies.

• Develop and uphold tools to automate, streamline, and monitor operational tasks.

• Oversee system health and performance, resolve issues, and implement proactive solutions.

• Collaborate with software engineers to enhance service scalability, availability, and security.

• Lead incident response and conduct post-mortem analysis to guarantee service reliability.

• Promote CloudOps best practices and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure engineering roles.

• At least 3 years of experience in a SaaS environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; certifications are preferred.

• Strong background in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Expertise in automation and configuration management tools like Ansible and SaltStack.

• Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Solid grasp of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and associated processes.

• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

• Experience in developing applications or tools using Java, Python, or comparable programming languages.

• Familiarity with Linux system administration and troubleshooting practices.

• Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub.

• Experience utilizing monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).

• Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and cost optimization on cloud platforms.

• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
