Senior Cloud Security Engineer – Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the deployment and enhancement of cloud security solutions within intricate client environments.

• Act as a technical mentor and primary point of escalation for junior and mid-level engineers.

• Work alongside architects and stakeholders to create scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architecture.

• Design and apply security controls across Azure services, including Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Purview, and DLP/AIP.

• Partner with infrastructure and application teams to ensure the secure deployment of Azure Compute, Networking, and Storage resources.

• Monitor and address security incidents using Log Analytics and SIEM tools.

• Assist with identity and access management initiatives, such as IAM, PIM, and Access Packages.

• Create and sustain security documentation, standards, and best practices.

• Contribute to automation projects using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to enhance security operations.

• Engage in security assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives.

• Offer insights on secure architecture and design patterns within Azure.

• Keep abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering, particularly with Microsoft Azure.

• Practical experience with Azure security tools and services (Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure Policy, Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender suite, Microsoft Purview, Azure Firewall, etc.).

• Knowledge of third-party IAM and security tools (Okta and its integration with Entra ID, OneLogin, Splunk, etc.).

• Solid understanding of cloud security frameworks, risk assessments, and incident remediation techniques (HIPAA/HITRUST, FedRAMP, NIST, PCI DSS, CJIS, etc.).

• Familiarity with third-party firewalls, including Palo-Alto and Fortinet.

• Basic knowledge of Azure Networking, Compute, and Storage services.

• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Strong comprehension of identity and access management in Azure environments.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer Associate certification is required.
