Senior Cloud Engineer, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Accountable for designing, constructing, operating, and enhancing the essential infrastructure and continuous delivery pipelines of the platform.

• Serve as the technical authority for aspects of reliability, observability, and cloud security, primarily focusing on AWS.

• Assist with transitions in the persistence layer and ensure that development teams can deliver value in a predictable, secure, and scalable manner.

• Develop and sustain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) on AWS.

• Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Oversee and optimize Aurora PostgreSQL databases.

• Guarantee comprehensive observability.

• Manage workloads on Docker/Kubernetes (EKS).

• Establish API security protocols.

• Design AWS networking solutions.

• Automate recurring operational tasks.

• Securely manage secrets and configurations.

• Collaborate with both frontend and backend teams.

• Identify and alleviate dependencies and risks proactively.

• Take part in incident response activities.

• Adhere to and assist in disseminating Information Security Policies and Procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• University degree (either in progress or completed).

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proactively foresee potential issues and resolve them before they escalate.

• Take ownership of infrastructure and pipelines.

• Make informed, data-driven decisions with a focus on practical action.

• Communicate clearly and proactively; work collaboratively to eliminate obstacles.

• Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement and a commitment to technical learning.

• Experience with: AWS, Aurora Postgres, CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes, cloud networking, automation/scripting, and pipeline/runtime security.
