Senior Cloud Engineer, Azure, IaC, Terraform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts utilizing Terraform.

• Automate the setup and management of resources within Microsoft Azure.

• Collaborate with architects and development teams to establish and execute infrastructure solutions.

• Ensure that infrastructure code complies with best practices, organizational standards, and security protocols.

• Conduct code reviews and offer technical insights to the team.

• Identify and resolve issues related to infrastructure code, deployments, and runtime environments.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.

• Utilize DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Git, VS Code, Jira, and WebEx.

• Monitor and enhance cloud infrastructure for stability, performance, cost-effectiveness, and security.

• Create and update technical documentation, including architecture diagrams.

• Keep abreast of new Azure services, features, and best practices.

• Effectively utilize GitHub Copilot for code generation, debugging, refactoring, and developing unit tests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Developer or in a comparable role.

• Strong understanding of cloud computing and Microsoft Azure architecture.

• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Packer, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), or equivalents (Microsoft Bicep, AWS CloudFormation).

• Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.

• Strong knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (Python or Groovy).

• Solid understanding of at least one scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript).

• Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools (Jenkins, Ansible, or equivalents).

• Familiarity with networking, security, and identity management within Azure.

• Understanding of TCP/IP and firewall configurations.

• Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Proficient in English (both spoken and written).

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
