Senior Cloud Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold reusable, reviewed, tested, and version-controlled Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation modules.

• Establish multi-account AWS setups utilizing Control Tower, Organizations, IAM Identity Center, SCPs, VPC, hybrid networking, DNS, certificates, centralized logging, and guardrails.

• Design and implement CI/CD processes for application and infrastructure delivery, encompassing automated testing, policy checks, and safe rollback procedures.

• Migrate, deploy, and optimize ECS and EKS workloads, which include clusters, autoscaling, ingress, secrets, service mesh, and observability.

• Conduct extensive VMware, on-premises, and legacy estate migrations to AWS.

• Utilize agentic coding tools for infrastructure creation, refactoring, testing, analysis, and documentation while ensuring output validation.

• Establish AI workload foundations on Amazon Bedrock and associated services.

• Address Well-Architected assessments and security findings, enhance IAM, and minimize customer expenses.

• Resolve production issues, create runbooks, and transition environments to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on AWS expertise.

• Professional-level experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, workspaces, drift management, upgrades, and reviewability.

• Practical experience in compute, networking, identity, storage, and observability.

• Proficient in VPC design, IAM boundaries, SCPs, DNS, TLS, tagging, and cost allocation strategies.

• Strong background in enterprise networking and security.

• Experience with production ECS and/or EKS environments, along with suitable serverless patterns.

• Advanced scripting and development skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript.

• Expertise in CI/CD utilizing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or similar tools.

• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and production troubleshooting capabilities.

• Experience deploying into environments with stringent governance and compliance requirements.

• Regular daily use of AI coding assistants and agentic tools, with the ability to validate their output.

• Familiarity with the GenAI application stack, including model trade-offs, context design, retrieval, tool usage, evaluation, and observability.

• Knowledge of Amazon Bedrock or similar managed model platforms.
