Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Paraguay.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of our Azure infrastructure.

• You will serve as the architect for WWF's Azure environment, creating subscriptions, provisioning resources, and constructing/deploying VMs (Windows, SQL, Red Hat, firewalls) from the ground up in both production and staging environments.

• Ensure Security & Identity Management

• Configure Microsoft Entra tenants, manage SSO using Azure Enterprise Apps, and maintain a clean and secure RBAC and user group structure.

• You will proactively patch systems and utilize PowerShell + Graph API to automate routine tasks, allowing critical operations to run more efficiently.

• Act as Our Safety Net

• Develop effective backup strategies and disaster recovery plans that function when needed.

• You are the reason we can rest easy, confident that our systems can recover from any scenario.

• Maintain Connectivity

• Troubleshoot networking issues across VNETs, sites, and tenants.

• You are fluent in the language of firewalls, load balancers, and DNS (Azure + Cloudflare), resolving issues before they escalate.

• Be the Go-To Specialist

• When complexities arise with Azure, Entra ID, or M365, you are the person the team consults. You will oversee projects from initiation to completion, keeping both technical and non-technical stakeholders informed throughout the process.

• Be Available When It Matters

• Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for critical outages or scheduled maintenance, as both uptime and the team dedicated to ensuring it are essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field AND a minimum of 8 years of professional experience (including at least 6 years in IT).

• MUST HAVE fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish.

• Experience in managing large-scale enterprise IT systems.

• Extensive hands-on experience with highly available and resilient Azure production systems.

• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, cloud networking, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, as well as Windows and Linux servers.

• Skilled in managing Windows domains and Active Directory.

• Proficient in using PowerShell and Graph API for Azure management, workflow automation, and deployment orchestration.

• Familiar with provisioning and managing access for technologies such as Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Foundry.

• Experience integrating Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio, and Copilot Agents into enterprise Azure/M365 environments, including configuration and governance of data access controls.

• Significant expertise in building, deploying, and managing virtual machines in Azure from the ground up.

• Proven track record of applying structured thinking to troubleshoot complex cloud or hybrid system issues and develop scalable, sustainable solutions.

• Well-developed methodologies for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

• Broad expertise at the enterprise scale across infrastructure, Azure cloud architecture, identity and access management with Entra ID, and emerging AI-driven automation technologies, enabling assessment and recommendation of modernization opportunities, security enhancements, and strategic technology upgrades.

• Proficient in configuring Microsoft Entra tenants and domains, including DNS and VNET setup.
