This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• You will be responsible for the design and development of enterprise SaaS solutions utilizing AWS and other cloud providers, encompassing system design, planning, review, and implementation.
• Lead the architecture, roadmaps, and execution of projects to set up and manage cloud IT infrastructure services using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Create and uphold standards for cloud platforms, operating systems, security measures, blueprints, and artifacts.
• Assist, automate, and optimize mission-critical deployments by leveraging configuration management, Build & Release Management processes, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and DevOps methodologies.
• Suggest modifications to systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance in delivering applications and infrastructure in the cloud.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners on technology product evaluations, code reviews, proof of concepts, pilots, and the technology adoption lifecycle.
• Engage in agile infrastructure and software development practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Sprints.
• Deliver programmable infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code), implement Security by Design, and utilize automation/orchestration for network, security, server, IAM, OS, and applications.
• Design serverless and container solutions.
• Provide operational support for Infrastructure as Code and native public cloud services (AWS: IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, VPC, EC2, etc.).
• You possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
• You have knowledge of creating or adapting applications for a cloud-based environment; expertise in AWS technologies such as S3, EBS, EFS, RDS, ECS, IAM, ELB/ALB, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS, Route53, and Secrets Manager; familiarity with orchestration technologies like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform; and proficiency in cloud-based software development tools and methodologies, including Git, CI/CD, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.
• You are skilled in Linux systems such as Redhat and CentOS; programming languages including HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, and JQuery; web services like REST and SOAP; container technologies including Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes; and scripting/automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash; as well as unit/acceptance testing.
