Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, construction, and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing compute, networking, storage, serverless, and managed platform services.

• Evaluate and aid in architecting AWS solutions that fulfill enterprise needs for scalability, security, governance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Review and uphold reusable cloud patterns, foundational components, and reference architectures.

• Provide support for serverless and container-based workloads leveraging AWS-native services.

• Troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and CDK for AWS resources.

• Review and assist in the creation of reusable IaC modules and templates to ensure consistency and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of practical cloud engineering experience in production settings.

• AWS Serverless expertise is REQUIRED, or proficiency in Containers.

• Implementation experience with several of the following technologies: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, Cognito, Service Catalog, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, EventBridge, S3, RDS, Step Functions.

• AWS Containers knowledge is REQUIRED, or proficiency in Serverless.

• Implementation experience with several of the following technologies: Docker, ECS Fargate, ECR, EFS.

• Experience with event-driven architecture patterns (SNS/SQS/EventBridge) is REQUIRED.

• Scripting proficiency in Javascript/NodeJs/Typescript/Python is REQUIRED (at least one) OR considerable Software Development experience.
