Senior Cloud Data Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop an innovative cloud-native database platform utilizing public cloud technology.

• Collaborate on our proprietary Kubernetes operator to facilitate effective infrastructure management.

• Enhance the metrics pipeline and create systems that yield improved statistics and recommendations.

• Partner closely with our ClickHouse core development team and other data-focused teams to assist with infrastructure use cases and other internal enhancements.

• Design and construct a resilient, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in software development, particularly in building and managing scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Go, C++, or Java.

• Familiarity with PagerDuty On-call practices, adept at debugging production issues, and a proven problem-solver.

• Proficient with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offerings (e.g., EC2).

• Knowledge in Data Storage, Ingestion, and Transformation using tools like Spark or Kafka.

• A strong passion for addressing data challenges at scale.

• Experience with distributed systems.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams.
