Senior Cloud Data Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop an innovative cloud-native database platform utilizing public cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate on our proprietary Kubernetes operator to facilitate efficient infrastructure management.

• Enhance the metrics pipeline and create systems that yield improved statistics and recommendations.

• Partner closely with our ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams to address infrastructure use cases and implement internal infrastructure enhancements.

• Design and construct a resilient, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pertinent software development experience in building and managing scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.

• Hands-on production experience with programming languages such as Go, C++, or Java.

• Familiarity with PagerDuty On-call duties, debugging in production environments, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service solutions (e.g., EC2).

• Experience in Data Storage, Ingestion, and Transformation using tools like Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies.

• A strong passion for tackling data challenges at scale.

• Background in working with distributed systems.

• Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams.
