Senior Cloud Backend Engineer, AWS, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Python and AWS services.

• Build and manage infrastructure utilizing AWS CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and middleware services using FastAPI.

• Design and optimize cloud architectures using AWS services such as ECS, S3, RDS, and Neptune.

• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms following OIDC standards and best practices.

• Perform deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerized applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

• Create dashboards and data visualization solutions using Dash and Plotly.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

• Enhance the reliability, scalability, performance, and observability of applications.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural planning.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, and infrastructure.

• Provide support for production environments and engage in incident resolution and troubleshooting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering or cloud development.

• Strong hands-on experience in developing applications using Python.

• Experience in developing and deploying applications in AWS environments.

• Practical experience with AWS CloudFormation and infrastructure automation.

• Experience with ECS, S3, RDS, and deploying cloud-native applications.

• Solid understanding of REST API design and the FastAPI framework.

• Experience with Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability practices.

• Experience in architecting scalable and secure cloud solutions.

• Functional knowledge of authentication flows and OIDC concepts.

• Familiarity with Dash/Plotly for data visualization solutions.

• Experience with integration or support for Amazon Neptune environments will be considered a plus.
