Senior Cloud Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Lead and implement application deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) utilizing ArgoCD GitOps workflows.

• Oversee release pipelines, assess deployment readiness, coordinate release schedules, and ensure effective rollback strategies.

• Monitor deployment health and proactively address issues.

• Act as the primary operational owner for applications operating on AKS, serverless, PaaS, and hybrid environments.

• Manage application upgrades, patching, configuration updates, and ensure environment consistency across Dev/QA/UAT/Prod.

• Troubleshoot application issues comprehensively (Kubernetes, containers, logs, APIs, configs, pipelines, integrations).

• Assist with API gateway deployments, routing policies, plugins, service onboarding, and troubleshooting using Kong Konnect.

• Monitor application health with tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, App Insights, and ELK/FluentBit.

• Develop and improve dashboards, alerts, and runbooks to facilitate swift incident detection and resolution.

• Collaborate with development, cloud, automation, and security teams to enhance release automation, pipelines, and operational workflows.

• Maintain precise documentation for deployments, configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting manuals.

• Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, change management, and release management policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.

• Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Harness, and Jenkins.

• Practical experience supporting applications on AKS or EKS.

• Extensive background in ArgoCD GitOps deployments and Kubernetes-based release workflows.

• Familiarity with Kong Konnect (API gateway), routes, plugins, upstreams, and service onboarding.

• Experience in supporting or managing Boomi integration flows.

• Knowledge of cloud services (Azure and/or AWS).

• Proficient in troubleshooting containers, microservices, YAML-based configurations, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and traces to quickly resolve application issues.

• Strong communication and coordination skills for collaboration with development and platform teams.
