Senior Technical Applications Engineer – Grid Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Review, analyze, and address customer application inquiries utilizing sound engineering principles.

• Offer technical assistance across the entire Grid Automation portfolio.

• Aid Sales and Commercial teams in determining the most effective technical solutions.

• Contribute to and finalize formal technical tenders according to customer specifications.

• Provide customer training on the application, configuration, and operation of Grid Automation solutions.

• Engage in customer meetings, site visits, seminars, conferences, and industry events as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering, or Computer Science.

• Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing engineering position.

• Strong and thorough understanding of Power Systems fundamentals.

• Solid knowledge of Protection & Control principles and Substation Automation systems.

• Experience with IEC 61850-based Substation Automation solutions.

• Familiarity with RTUs, HMI systems, network protocols, and OT environments.

• Cybersecurity experience in OT environments.

• Ability to analyze complex technical applications and generate clear technical reports.

• Commercial acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales teams and customers.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally within the SEU region.

• MANDATORY: Proficiency in Italian and English (business fluent).

• Highly valued: Knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, or Balkan languages (Serbian, Croatian, Romanian, etc.).
