Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-level applications utilizing .NET, .NET Core, and Python, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and perform efficiently.

• Define and implement robust application architecture patterns that align with business, security, and operational needs.

• Lead the creation of modern data architectures, encompassing relational databases, NoSQL/document stores, star schemas, data lakes, and streaming data pipelines.

• Transform business and technical requirements into comprehensive solution designs that effectively integrate application, data, and infrastructure components.

• Offer guidance on infrastructure topologies for both on-premises and cloud environments, which include virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes/AKS, and Azure-native services.

• Promote the adoption of strong SDLC and DevOps practices, covering CI/CD, code quality controls, release automation, environment management, and agile delivery methodologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, consisting of business stakeholders, architects, developers, data engineers, and operations teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

• Ensure solutions are architected with a strong emphasis on resilience, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

• Troubleshoot intricate technical issues across application, data, and infrastructure layers, providing practical resolution strategies.

• Thrive in high-pressure environments while managing multiple priorities without compromising on delivery quality and timeliness.

• Utilize industry knowledge to align technology solutions with the requirements, processes, and business objectives within the insurance domain.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong hands-on experience in application development using .NET, .NET Core, and Python, with 6-10 years of industry experience.

• Profound knowledge of data technologies and architectures, including:

• o Relational databases

• o Document-oriented / NoSQL databases

• Experience in related fields for 2-5 years.
