Field Application Engineer – Italy / Iberia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Assist in technical demonstrations for customers, operators, partners, and investors.

• Set up, configure, test, and resolve issues with demo systems and pilot projects.

• Travel as necessary between Bergamo, Zaragoza, and customer locations.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve field problems.

• Aid customers in comprehending technical prerequisites and deployment procedures.

• Gather organized feedback from customers and partners.

• Develop installation manuals, troubleshooting documents, FAQs, and technical notes for customers.

• Provide support for pilot launches, hardware evaluations, software testing, and demo preparations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in at least one of the following areas:

• - Field application engineering

• - Field service engineering

• - Vending machine support

• - Payment terminal support

• - Retail automation

• - Kiosks

• - Industrial IoT

• - Hardware-plus-software deployment

• - Machine integration

• - Technical customer success for physical products

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in front of customers.

• Skill in clearly explaining technical concepts.

• Comfort with machines, devices, wiring, networking, logs, configuration, and field debugging.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Proficiency in Italian and/or Spanish is strongly preferred.

• Willing to travel frequently.

• Must Haves:

• Experience with vending machine systems, payment terminals, telemetry, POS, kiosks, or retail automation.

• Experience in supporting pilots or demonstrations for industrial or retail technology products.

• Knowledge of Linux devices, networking, sensors, edge devices, or cloud-connected hardware.

• Experience collaborating with both engineers and commercial teams.
