Senior Cloud Application Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services ready for production.

• Engage in the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions on AWS.

• Build and maintain secure, high-performance REST APIs.

• Implement automated deployments using CI/CD pipelines.

• Participate in technical and architectural decisions focused on scalability, availability, and maintainability.

• Design and implement integrations with internal and external systems.

• Configure and operate AWS services for enterprise applications.

• Manage development, testing, staging, and production environments.

• Implement basic observability, monitoring, and incident tracking strategies.

• Apply best security practices in cloud applications.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in initiatives for modernizing and migrating legacy applications to modern architectures on AWS.

• Contribute to the design of solutions for the storage, processing, and secure access to large volumes of information.

• Ensure the stability and availability of services through backup, recovery, and load balancing mechanisms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend software development.

• Proven experience in developing production applications on AWS.

• Experience in deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud systems.

• Experience working in agile and collaborative environments.

• Experience in technical analysis and solving complex problems.

• Proficiency in Node.js (preferred).

• Knowledge of Python, Java, or equivalent backend technologies.

• Design and implementation of REST APIs.

• Integration between systems and services.

• Understanding of authentication and authorization.

• Practical experience using:

• - AWS Lambda.

• - API Gateway.

• - ECS / Fargate.

• - Amazon S3.

• - IAM.

• - CloudWatch.

• - Secrets Manager.

• - VPC.

• - Load Balancers.

• Solid knowledge of:

• - Application architecture on AWS.

• - Service communication.

• - Multi-account environments.

• - High availability.

• - Basic cloud security.

• Proficiency in Git.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions.

• Experience with GitLab CI.

• Knowledge of Jenkins or similar tools.

• Experience with CI/CD.

• Version control and environment management.

• Experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL.

• Experience with SQL Server.

• Familiarity with relational databases.

• Understanding of JWT.

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0.

• Experience in secret management.

• Endpoint protection skills.

• Role-based access control expertise.
