This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Conduct investigations on claims assigned under insurance policies provided by affiliated companies.
• Communicate with insured individuals, claimants, and other relevant parties via phone and written correspondence to gather necessary information for claim evaluation and resolution.
• Adhere to laws and regulations governing claims handling.
• Identify, assess, analyze, and establish the respective rights and obligations under the applicable insurance contracts for the claims assigned.
• Evaluate and estimate the liability of insured parties and the losses of claimants.
• Set up and promptly adjust appropriate case reserves based on the information available regarding the assigned claims.
• Accurately document and maintain timely records of communications with insured parties, claimants, and other third parties.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
• A minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient understanding of the interpretation and application of insurance contracts.
• Familiarity with insurance claim procedures, loss evaluation techniques, and alternative claim resolution strategies.
• Knowledge of insurance-related courses such as AIC and CPCU is preferred.
• Strong skills in investigation, evaluation, and analysis.
• Proficient in negotiation and case management.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, particularly with individuals outside the organization.
• Capability to organize time and resources efficiently and manage multiple high-priority tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Ability to meet project deadlines consistently.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
